Sonic Vaping respects your privacy and processes your personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

Information we collect

  • Account and order details: your name, email address, cellphone number, and delivery address.
  • Order history: the products you buy and how you choose to receive them.
  • Payment information: payments are processed securely by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Website data: basic technical information, such as your device and browser, collected through cookies that our online store needs to work.

How we use your information

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and warranty claims.
  • To contact you about your order or account.
  • To send you marketing by email or SMS, only if you have opted in.
  • To meet our legal obligations, including keeping records for tax purposes.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers who help us run the store:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store. Shopify may store data on servers outside South Africa, with appropriate safeguards in place.
  • Our payment provider (currently Yoco), to process your payment.
  • The Courier Guy, to deliver your order.

We never sell your personal information.

Marketing

You can choose to receive marketing emails or SMS messages when you create an account. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, by replying STOP to an SMS, or by contacting us.

Age restriction

Our products are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, financial records).

Your rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete your information.
  • Object to us using your information for marketing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
